Installation & Initial Setup

1. Download the app​

The EPIC Things app is free to download for both iOS and Android:

  • iOS: App Store → search "EPIC Things"
  • Android: Google Play Store → search "EPIC Things"

2. Create an account (Sign Up)​

  1. Open the EPIC Things app
  2. Tap Sign Up
  3. Enter your details:
    • Email
    • Password (recommended 8+ characters, mix numbers and special characters)
    • Confirm password
  4. Accept the terms of service
  5. Verify your email (a confirmation link will be sent)

3. Sign in (Login)​

  1. Open the app
  2. Enter your email and password
  3. Tap Login

:::tip Guest Login If you want to try the app before signing up, use Guest Login. Some features will be limited. :::

4. Set the Super Admin PIN​

After signing up and logging in for the first time, the system will ask you to set a Super Admin PIN:

  1. Enter a 4-12 digit PIN
  2. Confirm the PIN
  3. Important: Store this PIN in a safe place. If forgotten, you must contact a technician.

5. Connect a lock (Door Lock Registration)​

5.1 Via Bluetooth (BLE)​

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone
  2. In the app, tap + Add Lock
  3. Select Bluetooth mode
  4. Press the Registration button on the lock
  5. The app will search for nearby locks
  6. Select the lock you want to connect
  7. Enter the Super Admin PIN
  8. Name the lock (e.g. "Front door")

5.2 Via Wi-Fi Bridge (Remote)​

:::note Wi-Fi Bridge required Remote control requires a Wi-Fi Bridge (sold separately). :::

  1. Plug the Wi-Fi Bridge into an outlet near the lock
  2. In the app, tap + Add Bridge
  3. Select your home Wi-Fi
  4. Enter the Wi-Fi password
  5. Press the pairing button on the Bridge
  6. The app will find and connect to the Bridge
  7. After connecting the Bridge, you can add locks through it
