Setup

0. Set Super Admin PIN (do this first)​

:::tip Do this before using the app Before opening EPIC Things App, you must set a Super Admin PIN at the lock. :::

What is Super Admin:

  • The highest user level of EPIC Door Lock
  • Full access to all lock functions
  • Can link the app to the lock (prevents unauthorized linking)

Steps to set Super Admin PIN:

  1. Press the [R] button on the inner body
  2. Enter the User PIN (main PIN), then press [#]
  3. Press and hold [OPEN/CLOSE] for 3 seconds until the LED on the outer body lights up
  4. Enter a Super Admin PIN of 6-12 digits, then press [#]
  5. Re-enter the Super Admin PIN to confirm
  6. Press the [R] button to complete
note

If Super Admin PIN is already registered, the LED will not turn on in step 3.

1. Sign Up​

:::tip Quick Login If you want to log in directly with your Apple or Google account, skip sign-up and use Quick Login. :::

Steps:

  1. Open the EPIC Things App
  2. Tap Sign Up
  3. Enter your Email and Password (≥ 8 characters)
  4. Check the 4 Terms checkboxes
  5. Tap Next
  6. Enter the Verification Code sent to your email
  7. Tap Submit (or Skip if you already have a code)

Requirements:

  • Password ≥ 8 characters
  • Must agree to Terms, Collection, Personal Info, All Terms
  • Verification Code must be entered before Submit
caution
  • If you don't receive the Verification Code → tap REQUEST AGAIN or check spam folder
  • If you leave the Sign Up page before entering the Code → REQUEST AGAIN
  • Tap SKIP if you already have a verification code

2. Login / Quick Login​

Normal Login (with EPIC Account)​

Steps:

  1. Enter Email + Password
  2. (Optional) Check ID Saving to remember email
  3. Tap Sign In
caution
  • If Email or Password is wrong, a pop-up notification will appear
  • If you don't have an account yet, go to Sign Up first
  • Login status persists even after exiting the app — you must Logout manually to switch

Quick Login (Apple / Google)​

Steps:

  1. Tap the Apple or Google icon
  2. Log in with the account currently signed in on your device

Quick Login allows direct access without an EPIC account. However, Apple/Google accounts and EPIC accounts are treated as separate.

3. Forgot Password​

Steps:

  1. Tap Forgot Password on the Login screen
  2. Enter the Email you used to register
  3. Tap Continue
  4. Check your email → click the "Reset Password" link
  5. Set a new Password (≥ 8 characters)
  6. Log in again with the new password

4. Guest Login​

Use the app without logging in — perfect for trying out the app or temporary users

Steps:

  1. Tap Guest Login on the Login screen
  2. Use the app immediately (limited features)

:::warning Guest Login limitations

  • Cannot save settings between sessions
  • Cannot add/remove real locks or members
  • Data will be lost when exiting Guest mode
  • Must Login with a real EPIC account for full functionality :::

:::tip When to use Guest Login?

  • Try the app before deciding to sign up
  • Let family/friends test it temporarily
  • See examples before registering
  • Not suitable for serious long-term use :::
